Vernacular Heritage

Vernacular homes provide a transition space protected from outside to inside, but without the benefit of such estate transitional spaces much when structural or landscaping details are added to bring the private interior of the house in accordance with the outside world. If your home lacks a covered entry, consider a wood or ironto provide a frame tent or a feeling of protection and shelter.

As Native Americans have always built their houses at home and imitated, it is not surprising that Italian and Mediterranean villas, the great English country houses, farms and simple French can be found across the United States. From the early days of our nation, Americans have taken design details from all over the world andcopied, adapted and redesigned their ethnic patterns and furnishings.

Models originating in Africa, such as the spotted and complex geometries have been duplicated in many ways. Mexican antiques, Danish and Swedish furniture and oriental influenced accessories are mixed in our homes. From New England Cape Cod in Santa Fe Adobe, our diverse heritage influenced American architecture and interior design, while log cabins, rustic western interiors and American folk arthave suggested that some American origin.

Style and the emotional atmosphere

Style remember is the end result of decoration of the combination of specific characteristics of an era, an artistic movement, or a particular region, such as Victorian, Art Nouveau, or Midwestern Prairie style. Mood or emotional atmosphere, the personal interpretation of style to evoke feelings, whether they are smooth and clean, elegant, formal, informal, friendly, romantic oreclectic.

All the rooms of a period or style is best for museums or exhibitions next. Eclectic mix of furniture from different periods, as a contemporary sofa, a silver maple Chippendale side table and a Louis XVI gilt mirror. The beautiful and the bizarre, create exquisite and daily, mixed with lightness and joy, happy homes.
